Mo Seetubtim, Founder and CEO of The Happiness Planner
The Happiness Planner is the number 1 platform for beautiful personal development tools and resources designed to help manage your life, rewire your patterns and create a life of happiness and fulfilment.
The products are designed to empower you to transform from within, gain self awareness, build resilience, master your mind and cultivate positive thinking, mindfulness, gratitude and personal development.
All this can be done through the power of journalling.
You can draw your own stickers, import your photos, play with fancy fonts, you could even take a photo of a doodle in your planner and make more stickers - all in different colours! If you haven't got a cutting machine, well, I bet you're great at fussy-cutting with scissors or a craft knife, so don't let that stop you.
All you need is your imagination and the FREE Silhouette Studio software to make a start.
Whether this is completely new to you or you have already experimented with planner sticker making, pick up hints and tips from an expert user and also have the opportunity to ask anything that is baffling you.
So, what can Silhouette Studio do for the planner in you? Whatever you want it to!
Bex will explain how campfire sessions work and the topics to be discussed during campfire session 1.
Eat, drink, shop, chat and be merry!
Beverley, Lucy and Polly from Mellor&Rose Modern Calligraphy and Handlettering
During this 1-hour taster workshop you will learn the basics of this stylish on-trend brush script lettering style. Using Mellor&Rose introductory practice sheets and a Tombow dual tip pen (included for all attendees - so don't worry if you don't already have a brush pen!). These incredible versatile brush pens help us to produce the most fantastic 'weighted' looking lettering and are so much fun to use!
Brush lettering is the much more relaxed cousin of traditional copperplate calligraphy and far less about precision letterforms and much more about developing your own personality through your own hand.
Hand lettering is so much fun to do and gives us the chance to fully relax as we focus on creating our letter strokes, giving us a bit of well earned 'me time' specially for you, whilst at the same time producing cool looking lettering that is perfect for journalling, blog posts, social media and wall art!
We'll be learning how to form the characteristic 'thick and thin' strokes, before moving on to some lovely linked hand written words and perhaps even your first wall art template!
Whether you are completely new to brush lettering or more advanced but want to perfect your skills, this 1-hour workshop is not to be missed!
Advanced worksheets will be available for those that have already perfected the brush lettering basics.
Let's get lettering!
Including a free Tombow for every participant!
Take a break and chat and shop some more!
A whole host of new planner-related topics to discuss in campfire session 2.
Loti Maria, Mama Makes
Loti Maria will be talking about her inspiring business journey with her very own UK craft brand, Mama Makes. Loti was told in university she would struggle to have a family AND a career and was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue when she was 20. Since then she has been determined to prove them all wrong and became keen to be the business owner ideally her parents wanted her to marry!
With her little family struggling to make ends meet with the cost of living and childcare, Loti Maria started her business with nothing but ideas about what she wanted to see in the craft industry and products she wanted to use as a crafter and planner girl herself.
Mama Makes now has product lines in many arts and craft stores across the country, has been published in various national magazines and features on arts and crafts TV channel Hochanda, where Loti Maria features as a guest demonstrator.
Follow her inspirational journey, the highs of lows of being a mum, wife and TV producer, working 12 hour shifts and running a side hustle craft business on her days off. Loti hopes you come away inspired to think that you, (yes you!) despite all obstacles, really can do anything you’re passionate about, set goals and achieve your dreams.
Final words from Bex, PlannerFest.

Mini meet ups gather together planners that share passions and similar interests so you can share and discuss your experiences and inspire each other. We will set up mini meet ups for different planner types and styles so you can meet friends new and old that use the same set up (e.g. Erin Condren meet up, Hobonichi meet up, Bullet Journal meet up, etc). This is the opportunity to coo over other peoples planners and to find out how they do things!
For anyone that is new to a particular planner type/brand or interested in seeing one in action before they buy one, it will also be really useful to ask questions of more experienced users.
You are not tied to attending any mini meet ups but you may wish to attend one or several mini meet ups throughout the day.
Campfire sessions are smaller, more intimate conversations about the topics that interest you with small groups of other like-minded people. A different focus is outlined on different tables and attendees can choose which group to join. You are free to stay with one group or during the allocated session time you may want to move between several different groups and discussions that interest you.
Imagine sitting around a campfire at a festival with friends and talking about the things that really interest and inspire you. This is how campfire sessions work. (Minus the fires of course!)
On the event registration form we ask you to share your planner questions - this can be absolutely anything you want to discuss at the event: things that puzzle you, things you want to learn more about, things you want to see. We will use these ideas, as well as ideas of our own, to create topics for the different campfire sessions. If you want to create your own campfire session on the day you can also let us know and we can make it happen.
If you wish to opt out of any of the content you can continue shopping, relax in the chill out zone or go outside of the venue to explore Manchester. Use your time at PlannerFest as you wish, all we ask is that you are respectful of those that are enjoying the presentations and workshops.
Since childhood, Mo dreamed of having her own inspirational brand that people love - where she got to write and design beautiful products that inspire people to become the best they can be.
In March 2015, Mo launched The Happiness Planner, a beautiful planner and journal designed to help people become happier and more fulfilled by embracing positive thinking, mindfulness, gratitude, and self-development.
Mo believes that happiness is a state of mind; it lies in the way you look at things - and this can be practiced, influenced, shaped and changed.
A secret planner at heart Jane loves playing with digital graphics. Her first foray into design work was cross stitch, until she discovered digital scrapbooking in 2006. With her inability to hold anything larger than a teabag without getting into trouble, digital art gives Jane the chance to express herself - or just make a mess that doesn't need cleaning up. With Silhouette Studio and a Cameo 3 she can even cut things out, though she wishes she could call it fussy-cutting, because that is such an excellent word!

Mellor&Rose specialise in hand lettered design work and modern calligraphy. From their background in graphic design they have worked commercially for many years producing hand lettered work from branding to wedding stationery, with hand lettered chalkboards, commercial wall lettering and hand lettered signage keeping them busy!
One of their greatest pleasures is sharing the joy of hand lettering through modern calligraphy and brush pen workshops which they roll out across the North West of England. They can't wait to introduce you to your journey into hand lettering and creating something that is uniquely your, including taking your planner style to a new level.
Loti Maria has been creative ever since she was a small girl watching Art Attack in her bedroom! This passion evolved over the years and was reignited when she was on maternity leave with her son, Charlie and found herself watching craft shopping television.
She then went onto work in craft shopping television and one day was offered something she couldn’t refuse, a chance to make her ideas into photopolymer stamps, to sell. She ended up buying the machine and the rest is history!
Loti lives with her husband Esteban and sons Charlie & Harvey. All of the stamps are made in A grade 3mm photopolymer and Loti designs the stamps digitally and takes time to think of quirky sentiments for all occasions. Some of Loti’s sentiments are words she wrote down to motivate herself through tough times and she hopes to help and inspire others by making them available as stamps.
Loti also sources illustrators and designers from across the world, giving them a fair commission and a reason to draw rather than just for ‘likes’ on social media.
The product range has now expanded to not just stamps but hand designed washi tapes and patterned papers which are sold in stores across the country and online.
Bex is the Founder of PlannerFest. Since discovering the planner community she has been dreaming of running a big annual planner event in the North of England and is proud that her vision and dreams are finally coming to fruition.
Bex is soon to be a Mum to 3 children under 6 and likes to be busy! She is already trying to cultivate a planning, stationery and crafting obsession in her children!
Bex started her event management company 15 years ago, back in 2004 before Twitter and online event registration even existed!
The small, all-female company generally works on conference and exhibition project briefs from clients so PlannerFest is a very exciting and passionate personal project that unites her passion and skills (and much more fun than most corporate events!).
Throughout her career, Becki has worked on a varied portfolio of events ranging from fashion shows to music festivals, gala dinners to exhibitions, and conferences to award ceremonies.
Formerly, Bex was also the Deputy Editor of EventMB, the number one blog for event professionals. Over four years she helped to develop content, grow traffic and authored multiple reports on various event planning topics.
It is really important to me that anyone new to planning, new to planner events, attending alone or just wanting to meet more planner friends will do so at PlannerFest. I have lots of ideas I am putting into place to try to make the event as welcoming as I can for everyone that wants to come. Even if you do not know a single person before you attend I want to ensure that you leave with lots of new planner friends from this fantastic, supportive community.
If you are nervous and worrying please contact me privately so I can share more information about the measures we are putting in to place to reassure people.
Manchester is the UK's second city, and an exciting and vibrant place to visit.
The birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, Manchester has a proud history in science, politics, music, arts, and sport. The city centre is jam-packed with unique and eclectic restaurants, bars, shops, museums, galleries, hotels and places to stay for all budgets.
The wider Greater Manchester region offers a patch-work of visitor experiences including quaint market towns, traditional pubs, and beautiful green spaces and waterways.
It is just over two hours from London to Manchester by train.
I am an event manager by day and a planner addict by night. Without my (fountain) pen and paper I would not be able to make it through the day! After 15 years of running my own business, I want to combine my skills and passion to create an exciting new event for planner addicts and stationery lovers everywhere.
As a proud Northerner myself, Manchester is the natural location for PlannerFest. I have lots of ideas and a strong vision for the event and I want this to become an annual must-attend event for the planner community, which can grow year on year.

Retail analysts Verdict Retail predicts 2.4% growth in the UK stationery market, following a 3.2% increase over the past 5 years, to a value of around £2.1 billion by 2021.
There are nearly 4k members in the most active UK planning group on Facebook and many other niche groups dedicated to different types of planners and different planning techniques.
Established events such as UKPA (London) and PlannerCon Europe (Brussels) sell out quickly, with 300 and 600 attendees respectively.
We want to create THE annual planner event in the North of England.
Our research and early interest has shown demand for a large annual event to take place in the North of England and Manchester is the perfect city for it.
Northerners are happy to travel 'down South' and even overseas for special planner events and now we have a large event of our own. Come and discover what the North has to offer!
Stallholders have Access All Area (AAA) passes - as long as your stand is looked after you are welcome to join in any talks, workshops and content that appeals to you and talk differently to the lovely planner community.
Additional staff passes can be booked if you need them and include the AAA pass, chair at the stall and goodie bag.
We want to create an unmissable annual event which appeals to every planner lover in the UK and beyond, whatever your planning style and preferred planner. Whether you have a pretty or functional approach, and prefer rings, strings or bound this is an event for every one of you!
We are looking for Etsy shops, small and independent businesses and larger shops and brands that are looking to have a presence at PlannerFest 2020. This may include having a stall or even sponsoring a campfire session, workshop or presentation.
Please contact us to be the first to receive the new brochure for 2020 or to discuss specific options. tailored to your exact requirements.
Files coming soon.
